McCarran International Airport |

|
McCarran International Airport is your gateway to Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the Word as the main airport serving Las Vegas and Clark County. It is ranked among the 10 busiest airports in the world based on passenger activity. It serves over 40 air carriers and with over 950 flights arriving and departing daily, it offers direct flights to more than 100 U.S. cities and international destinations. It offers a comfortable atmosphere with more than 50 retail shops and nearly 30 restaurants, lounges, and snack bars. Numerous transportation options in the form of taxis, shuttles, limousine services, and car rental offices as well as its convenient location close to the center of Las Vegas - 1 mile (1.6 km.) from the Strip, 3.5 miles (5.6 km.) from the Convention Center and 5 miles (8 km.) from Downtown Las Vegas – make the logistics of your trip relatively simple, comfortable, and enjoyable. Car Rental |
|

|
|
On-site car rental customer counters are located in the center of the baggage claim area. Some of the off-airport rental services may be accessed through the free telephones located in the baggage claim area. All cars are located outside of the terminals and every rental agency provides their own courtesy shuttle to transport customers to and from their lots. Taxi |
|
|
|
|
|
Please note taxis will not accept credit card payments; there is also a $1.20 charge on all fares originating at the airport. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is 5 including infants and children. The average fare from McCarran to the Venetian is $11-$14 per ride. Instruct the driver to go via Paradise and Tropicana rather than the freeway. This will reduce the length of the journey. |

Shuttles/Limousine Service |
|
|
|
|
|
Several shuttle and limousine services are available at McCarran and are located outside door exits 8-14 of baggage claim. There are both group shuttle and “for-hire” stretch limousine services. A hotel shuttle service is also available (Cost $5.00). It is not a direct Venetian shuttle and makes numerous stops. The Venetian is approximately 3 miles SE of the airport. |

Getting Around Las Vegas |

|
|
The Las Vegas Monorail. The Robert N. Broadbent Las Vegas Monorail runs from 7am to 2am daily. You can glide above traffic at speeds reaching 50mph to cover the four mile route if you choose in approximately 14 minutes. The monorail stops at several hotels on the south-side of the strip. While the Venetian does not have a station, the monorail stops next door at the Harrah’s Hotel, so enjoy easy access to a large section of the strip without having to walk. Tickets are $3.00 one-way.
